Best Times to Come Fishing"
July
is our top fish producing month for your
trout and salmon charter. During July, Lake Ontario
is thermally stratified with each fish species
occupying its preferred temperature niche within
the thermocline. This makes the fish easy to find
and catch.
Fiesty
"football" brown trout averaging 6-8 lbs. and
ranging up into the high teens are caught in
excellent numbers.
Our
Jumbo sized, bottom hugging lake trout average ten
pounds and provide dependable, fast and furious,
non-stop action and big catch numbers. A perfect
choice for your family charter.
Our
Mexico Bay King (Chinook) salmon go on their mid
summer feeding binges in July, range in size from 4
to 30 lbs. and fight like crazy!
Overall,
July fishing provides an excellent, mixed bag catch
of brown, lake trout, and king salmon. And Lake
Ontario's weather and water conditions are
generally the best of the season.

August
and September salmon fishing on Eastern Lake
Ontario is
Red
Hot!
Huge
numbers of large, adult King salmon averaging 18 to
25 lbs. but ranging up to 40 lbs. school up in
Mexico Bay in preparation to swim up Pulaski's
Salmon River. All of Lake Ontario's Salmon were
born and raised at the New York State DEC Hatchery
so our Home Port at Port Ontario is where the Lake
Ontario Salmon run begins and ends. You'll have the
benefit of fishing the most salmon infested waters
on the Great Lakes and as an added benefit, the
salmon fishing remains good until late
September.
